This striking shawl starts with a rectangular centre panel knit with self-striping yarn and features an eyelet stitch detail. Stitches are picked up along each side of the panel for the long triangular wings. Each wing features the same stitch pattern, but different yarn combinations, adding to the fun of this shawl.

The pattern is written to feature a skein of self-striping fingering weight yarn for the centre panel, a full skein of fingering weight for the first wing, and a collection of colours for the second wing. With the stitches being picked up along each side of the centre panel, there is no seaming required for the shawl.

The shawl has a blocked wingspan of 110” (2.8 m) and a depth of 16.5” (42 cm)

Using the colour order included in the pattern for the second wing, below are the quantities for each colour. You are most welcome to change up the order of the stripes for the second wing, it will just modify how much you use of each colour.

MC - self-striping - 65g - 236 yds (sample used 62g)
CC1 - 115g - 418 yds (sample used 107g)
CC2 - 25g - 91 yds (sample used 18g)
CC3 - 25g - 91 yds (sample used 16g)
CC4 - 25g - 91 yds (sample used 14g)
