This blanket is worked in 6 panels featuring 61 days in each panel. The panels are worked from the bottom up and are seamed together from left to right. The blanket is designed to cover 366 days, which is perfect for leap year! If you’re working this blanket over a non-leap year, I give suggestions in the pattern on what to do with that extra day.

Each day is 4 rows and is worked in both a different color corresponding to the day’s temperature as well as a different stitch pattern corresponding to the day’s weather. There are 14 colors and 9 stitch patterns. You choose whether you want to use the low temp, high temp or average temp for the day. I also include some notes in the pattern regarding choosing to just work in 1 stitch pattern rather than alternating through the 9.

The pattern includes a chart for tracking your temps/weather for a month - you can print a copy of this for each month and track your temperatures. If you’re looking for historical weather data, visit wunderground.com/history and find all the info you need.
