This version of the design is for Japanese standard gauge machines with punch-card capabilities. Gauge in the pattern stitch is 5.8 sts/11 rows per inch using Tamm Bebe yarn at stitch size 9 and Brother
card 8p. Other cards with similar proportions of tucking stitches will work fine. Alternate gauges 3-7 stitches/inch and 4-10 rows/inch are given in brackets. It is by no means necessary to match the
gauge perfectly. 2 cones are needed. One size fits everyone. In this case it really does!
