This hat has a traditional Shetlabd corrugated rib and the crown is designed in the Shetland style. The body of the hat is stranded knitting and the top is finished with 5 i-cord knots for a little cheekiness!

This hat can be worked in SO many wonderful colours! There are 6 rows of hearts, each row is knit in a different colour - or, you could knit this in a single colour, in a gradated/Ombré fashion. Use your imagination and have fun! The colours used in the original pattern are:

• Blue Danube #134

Note: if using a different wool, this is a 2-ply which is equivalent to a 4-ply/fingering weight.

Needle sizes 2.75mm & 3.25mm.

This hat is knit in the round. Please note - if you are using circular needles, you will need a set of 3.25mm DPNs to complete the crown and the i-cord.

One size fits most adult & childrens heads.
