Fingerless mittens are valued by musicians, especially when they have to play outdoors. I wanted to make a music-themed pair without resorting to the obvious clichés. So, I designed this pair using two less common music notation symbols: the C-clef and the cut time (a.k.a. Alla Breve) symbol.

The mittens are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles (or magic loop) in fingering weight yarn using stranded colourwork.

You can choose to make them with or without individual fingers.
