If you enjoyed this freebie, consider leaving me a tip on my Kofi!
This pattern is worked from the bottom up in the round. It has a relaxed fit and works up really quickly due to the heavy weight of the yarn. Perfect for last-minute gifts!
Size: One size, to fit a 19” – 23”/48 – 58 cm head circumference.
Yarn: 90 yards/85 meters of super bulky weight yarn. Sample shown in Malabrigo Rasta colorway Water Green.
Needles: Size US 13/9 mm and US 15/10 mm circular needles or double-point needles, or size needed to obtain gauge and one size smaller.
Gauge: 9 stitches and 16 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette stitch on larger needles.
Notions: 1 stitch marker, a balloon (for blocking, optional), and 1 pompom (optional).
Techniques: Knitting in the round and basic decreases. This is a suitable pattern for beginners.
