Peel back the layers, stitch by stitch.
Allium cepa is a relaxed and fun sock pattern worked cuff-down. The socks feature beautiful onion-like cables over reverse stockinette stitch. The instructions are written for magic loop technique on a long circular needle but you can easily work them on dpns.

Finished circumference: 8.25-9-9.5’’ / 21-22-24 cm
Yarn
Aara Yarn Tuuma (80 % merino, 20 % nylon 300 m/100 g), or other sport weight yarn. Shown in color Karri.
1 skein.
The required yardage depends on the length of the foot.
Needles
US 2 (2.5 mm) circular needles (or dpns). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the right gauge.
Gauge
13 sts x 19 rnds = 2x2’’/5x5 cm in reverse stockinette stitch worked in the round (after blocking).
