Almas Mitts
Fingerless mitts are always in high demand in my household as the school year starts and fall approaches. My kids love to wear them during their early morning bike rides to school. This year, they requested that I make the mitts softer and longer. :)
Almas Mitts feature a lovely diamond motif twisted stitch pattern on the back of the hand. I held together one strand of fingering weight yarn and lace weight mohair to create a fuzzy, soft fabric. I also made the twisted rib cuffs extra long so they can be folded up or down, depending on how warm you want them to be.

PATTERN FEATURES
♡The mitts are worked from the bottom-up, seamlessly in the round.
♡You can use a combination of fingering weight + lace weight mohair or a sport weight yarn that gives gauge.
♡Instructions for distributing stitches are provided for both magic loop and double-pointed needles.
♡The bottom and thumb ribbing are done in 1 x 1 half-twisted ribbing. The top cuff is done using 1 x 1 full-twisted ribbing. This produces a reversible fabric that would look the same whether folded up or down.
♡Both written and charted instructions are provided for the stitch pattern used on the back of the hand.
♡The left and right thumb gussets are knit differently.
