Almondine is a casual modified drop-shoulder pullover worked seamlessly in the round. The body features easy bands of “almonds” created with increases and decreases, and is worked
in the round from the hem to the underarms before dividing for the front and back. The garter stitch shoulders are shaped with short rows and joined with a Three-needle bind off.

Long sleeves are picked up and worked down to the cuff in stockinette stitch, so you can perfect your sleeve length. The triangular underarm gusset was inspired by traditional ganseys, and helps reduce excess fabric in the upper sleeve.

Jill Draper’s Mohonk Light is a beautifully springy and lightweight plied wool yarn. For yarn substitutions, look for fingering-weight wool or natural-fibre blends that have some elasticity for working the increases and decreases.
