Almost Aran
ALMOST ARAN
YARN: #4 worsted weight yarn. 1Ib. Is ample for all sizes.
GAUGE: 13 stitches and 37 rows per 4” in tuck pattern.
MACHINE: bulky
SIZES: finished circumference at chest 26, 28,30,32,34”
TUCK PATTERN SIMULATES CABLED TEXTURE; Brother card 7p or similar pattern. Look for cards with repetitive vertical patterns like these diamonds. They will not look like true cables but will give a textural impression that is similar and they are very easy to make. Sometimes a card will surprise you.
NOTE: If you don t have the time or inclination to knit a real aran sweater this is a super-quick sweater with a similar look. Back and front are knitted in one long strip with the hems
