This pattern is knit almost entirely in one piece. The exception to that is the button closures, which require picking up stitches.

Both the stockinette and reverse stockinette will show when the garment is finished, so choose your yarn with that in mind. For example, the difference might be in texture (as in the pattern photo), or it might be in color as well as texture (as with a variegated yarn).
