Almost Scottish cowl
Inspired by the colours of kilts, and the textured patterns of traditional Scottish knitwear, this cowl is of course not Scottish in the strict sense of the word, and that’s why I called it “Almost Scottish”.
The contrast between the textured stitch and the stranded pattern makes it a completely original and elegant Cowl.
Plus, it’s a fun and quick knit!
This unisex cowl is worked in the round.
I chose Katia “Merino tweed” to knit it, because of its softness and well-defined texture. It resulted in a warm cozy cowl, light and easy to wash (machine wash at 30°C), with this unique casual look that tweed yarns are offering, but any well-defined yarn of your choice will do just as well.
Instructions are written, and two charts are provided.
Almost Scottish cowl comes in one adult size.
Measurements (not blocked nor stretched):
Circumference approx. 22” (56 cm).
Height approx. 8.7’’(22 cm).
This unisex pattern is easily adaptable: tips are provided to make it deeper, larger or smaller.
Many thanks to my talented tester LadyDaVinciKnits!
