Aloha is a tubular cowl, with a lace stitch pattern that blooms and climb along the neck on one half of the cowl. It is then continued in stockinette stitch and closed with a grafting to hide any seam.
It can be worn making one or two rounds, which, with its double layer, makes it your best ally against cold weather!
I named it Aloha because it makes me think of those flower necklaces offered in the exotic islands to wih you a warm welcome, but of course this one is more… automnal! But it will surely also warm up necks and hearts…

Sizes:
One size – Final circumference of the cowl: approx 150 cm, adaptable to your desire for a width of approx 17 cm, in double layer.

Gauge:
22 sts and 27 rounds = 10 cm/4’’ in stockinette stitch in the round.
(note that gauge is not crucial, you can easily adjust for another kind of yarn but please note this will affect final sizes and yarn requirements)

Leaf lace stitch (pattern repeat over 14 sts)

Yarn & Notions:

• 3 skeins of Hermès DK by Lain’amourée (merino 50% - silk 50% , 212 m/100 g) here shown in colorway «Caramel au beurre salé» or approx 550 to 600 m of anu other DK yarn to meet gauge.
• Circular needles to meet gauge (suggested size 4,5 mm/US #7).
• A second needle, same size or a size smaller to work the grafting.
• 1 stitch marker.
• 1 crochet hook 4,5 mm and scrap yarn for provisionnal cast on.
• 1 tapestry needle for grafting.

Aloha est un col est tubulaire, tricoté dans le sens de la longueur, avec un motif dentelle qui se développe et «grimpe» le long du cou sur la moitié du col. Il est ensuite poursuivi en jersey puis fermé en grafting pour ne faire apparaître aucune couture. Il peut être porté en ne faisant qu’un seul tour ou en faisant deux, ce qui avec sa double épaisseur vous promet d’être paré contre le froid !
Je l’ai appelé Aloha parce qu’il me fait penser à ces colliers de fleurs offerts dans les îles pour souhaiter la bienvenue, excepté bien sûr que celui-ci est plus… automnal ! Mais il réchauffera à coup sûr les cous et les coeurs…

Taille unique – Circonférence finale du col  : environ 150 cm, adaptable à votre envie pour une largeur de 17 cm environ, en double épaisseur.

Echantillon :
22 mailles x 27 tours
pour 10 x 10 cm de jersey tricoté en rond.
(cependant, l’échantillon n’est pas capital et vous pourrez facilement adapter à un autre type de laine, cela affectera la taille finale et la quantité de laine utilisée)

Fournitures & Matériel :

• 3 écheveaux d’Hermès DK de Lain’amourée (50% mérinos - 50% soie, 212 m/100 g) ici en coloris Caramel au beurre salé ou environ 550 à 600 m de tout autre fil de type «DK» permettant d’obtenir l’échantillon.
• 1 aiguille circulaire de la taille nécessaire pour obtenir l’échantillon (taille recommandée : 4,5 mm)
• 1 deuxième aiguille de la même taille ou d’une taille inférieure pour le grafting.
• 1 anneau marqueur.
• 1 crochet 4,5 mm et de la laine pour le montage provisoire.
• 1 aiguille à laine pour le grafting.
