The Along The Coast Vest is knitted from the top down in brioche stitch, using the intarsia technique to create an abstract pattern of a landscape by the sea. One continuous main colour is knitted throughout the whole vest, while the contrasting colours change according to the intarsia colour chart.

First, you knit the back from the neckline to the point at the base where the ribbing will begin. Next, stitches for the front are picked up at the shoulders and you knit this side from the top down as well. The shoulder seam sits slightly towards the back. After finishing the front, the ribbing around the bottom and the armholes are added using the seamless intarsia technique in the round, to allow the motif to continue into the ribs as well. Finally,
the side seams are closed and a folded neck rib is knitted to complete your Along The Coast Vest.
