Alonzo the Alpaca Amigurumi
Meet Alonzo the Alpaca!
He is the smaller cousin to my Lorenzo the Llama. :) Like the Llama pattern, I wanted to minimize sewing so the only sewing required is for the ears and tail. The legs, body, and head are made in one piece. The PDF is 7 pages, with written instruction and some diagrams for clarification.
Difficulty: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate
Techniques: Basic crochet stitches, increases, decreases, and magic ring, but the construction and some joining techniques are a little more advanced, hence the Advanced Beginner to Intermediate difficulty level.
Materials:
Yarn: Worsted weight, about 60 yds to 70 yds.
Hook: US E/4 (3.5 mm)
Tapestry needle for sewing in ends, stitching pieces together, and sewing on eyes.
2 Beads for eyes, or safety eyes
Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
Size: Approximately 5.75” tall (not including ears) x 3.5” long using worsted weight yarn. If you choose to use other weights, the size will vary. Third photo compares the size of the Alpaca to the Llama.
This pattern is for personal use, please do not duplicate or distribute in any way, shape, or form. But feel free to sell your finished llamas to share the love. All I ask is to please refer back to me as the pattern’s author. :)
