alpaca baby...
Sweet and simple, this alpaca baby cap has a rolled brim and an easy-to-do Fair Isle band. Change the colors to suit the recipient, add ties or a two-color topknot--the pattern includes everything to help you make a hat that is uniquely your own!
Materials needed:
- 3 skeins, each in a different color, of Frog Tree alpaca or similar alpaca sportweight yarn
- 1-12” or 16” circular needle in size US 3 (3.25mm)
- 1-set of size US 3 (3.25mm) double pointed needles
- tapestry needle
The original alpaca baby hats (see pwa’s gemellini)were made for newborn twin boys. Three skeins of the Frog Tree Alpaca--one in blue, one in apple green, one in brown--yielded two hats and enough left over for another small project!
If you have any questions, or need any help, please don’t hesitate contacting me, pwa, at any time.
