Alpaca Cape Jacket
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
I called this a cape/jacket because although it is shaped as a cape, it has buttons that form the wings of the cape into sleeves of sort - I only added a single button for my sleeves but you could use more to form more sleevy sleeves.
The alpaca content of Wendy’s Serenity yarn makes this lusciously soft, and gives it a gorgeous drape. It’s also great on a budget, using only 7 balls - there’s no way you could buy something like this in the shops for so little money :)
The pattern calls for 12mm circular needles because you end up with a lot of stitches - that’s also the reason it’s knitted in two pieces and then seamed at the end.
