Alpaca Farmer's Market Hat
Lots of texture in this hat!
I was vending at my local farmer’s market and was asked to come up with a quick hat that had some texture using my farm yarn and this is the result. Somewhat slouchy to accommodate your hair, but snug at the brim so it won’t slide off your head when you’re out running your errands (at the farmer’s market of course!) You could even add a pom-pom to it if you’d like.
Any DK weight yarn will work but we love Two Branch Ranch’s alpaca blend for its softness and warmth in winter.
Gauge is not important, a single 3.5 oz skein was used and I had a bit leftover. Ensure you purchase enough to complete your project though.
Easily customizable - if you’d like it longer, more slouchy-er, just repeat a section or two. If you want to make it smaller or larger around, just remove or add stitches in groups of 4.
Easy and quick to knit. Stitches used are knit, purl, and knit 2 together; and you’ll need 1 stitch marker and a darning needle.
Enjoy!
