This puppet was knitted with Patons Allure yarn. It is now discontinued but there are other yarns on the market that have a fluffy texture that will work just as well. The body is made with two pieces knit separately and then sewn together. Fluffy side is the right side. The head piece is also two pieces of soft fingerling weight yarn sewn together and then attached to the top of the body piece. The eyes and nostrils are crocheted and sewn to the head piece. This is a fun project to knit and then do some imaginative storytelling and play with toddlers and young children.
