Alpaca Ruffle Boa
Create a fun accessory and satisfy your inner diva with a bit of warm glamour. This boa is knit with a sportweight alpaca yarn on a size 10 needle. Worked with a series of increases, the boa starts with cast on stitches that will measure its approximate length. Then, the magic of multiple increases creates corkscrew curling as well as eyelet ruffles. When the many stitches at the end of the project are bound off, a ruffled lacy surprise emerges for the knitter nearly immediately. This is a perfect warm stylish scarf for the big city and adds a change to any winter coat.
The boa can be made in two lengths, one in the 35 inch range for a short scarf uses 220 yards/201m, and a much longer 70 inch length uses 440 yards/402m for those who prefer a truly over-the-top number of ruffles!
