This modern Christmas stocking is generously sized, squishy, and insanely soft with a faux fur cuff! It works up so fast that you’ll want to make one for every member of the family! The inspiration for this design was thoughts of a Christmas in an alpine lodge high in the Rocky Mountains complete with hot cocoa, fuzzy slippers, snuggly blankets, and a cozy crackling fire to enjoy with Christmas music and loved ones!

The stocking is constructed in rounds from the toe up using a magic circle (or another starting ring of your choice). The heel is worked as a simple rectangular flap of sc rows that is stitched closed before returning to hsc rounds to complete the leg portion of the design. A quick and easy dc faux fur cuff plus a sturdy hanging loop provides the finishing touches! Get creative if you prefer a contrasting toe and heel color or want to bust your stash! Substituting a 6 weight bulky yarn for the main stocking, heel, and/or toe should not significantly change the end result.
