Alpine Double Brim Beanie
This pattern is available as a
free Ravelry download
This beanie will fit the average adult head.
The beanie requires 1.5 to 2 skeins of Berocco vintage (or other similar bulky yarn).
My H/5mm hook seems bigger than average, it may be useful to size-up to 5.5 or 6 if your hook feels too small for the yarn. Test the brim length if you size up - 100 rows may be too large. When the brim is joined together with 51 sc, if you want to make it smaller (or larger) just make sure you have an odd number of sc.
The pattern should work as written although you’ll need to adjust the counts for the decrease rows.
There are videos available on instagram to help with the alpine stitch and decrease rows.
Enjoy!
