This pattern serves double duty. it can be a hat or a cowl when you need it. just simply sinch the top tight for a hat or untie for a cowl.
This pattern is a simple 2 by 2 rib with a row of simple decreases and yarn overs for the tie to feed though. No dps needed for this pattern and is a great beginner project using red heart yarn.
