Pattern Notes:

This pattern does not have a specific stitch count and gauge. It can be adapted to make any size hat from almost any yarn, hence the “recipe”!

Use yarn of your choice, with recommended hook size. For instance, a DK/light worsted yarn works well with a 4mm hook, whereas an Aran/heavy worsted works well with a 5.5mm. There is no specific gauge needed for this project. Yardage is loosely estimated, because it depends on the size you choose to make.

The brim is worked back and forth to create a length of ribbing, and then connected to form a band. The next row works along the edge of the brim, with the remainder of the hat worked in the round.
