Alpine Shawl
Echoing the sprawling, storied mountain range for which it is named, nested lacey peaks form the central motif of this handsome accessory. Holding a lace yarn double allows for the luxurious hand of silk while still making a garment bold and substantial enough to live up to its mountainous theme.
The Alpine Shawl is a half-circle shawl worked from the center back to the bottom edge. Lace stitch repeats create the peaks design, while a unique finish makes an open, lacey edge without the customary picot bind off.
This pattern includes both written instructions and charts.
