These mitts were inspired by the beautiful mauve and pink flowers of ling heather that can be found growing in my favourite wild landscapes in Northumberland.

These mitts are a quick knit- using only small amounts of 5 different colours. They are fantastic for using different bits of colours left over from other larger projects and for experimenting with different colour blending. The pattern is fully edited and test knitted and contains a combination of easy to read charts and written instructions. The construction includes an ‘afterthought thumb’- the construction is explained thoroughly in the pattern.
