Altair is the all-crochet version of my Tunisian hybrid pattern Aquila.

As this is a measure-along you can technically use whatever yarn weight and hook size you choose. This is a great pattern for stash busting and, as it is difficult to fully estimate the yardage you’ll need, I’d recommend using a variety of colours in case you run out of one particular yarn.

Altair is worked in separate panels which are later joined together.
There are 2 options for the central panels and 2 options for different sleeve panels with different textures. These panels can be mixed and matched between the different options and also with the panels in the Aquila pattern. So, if you did want to try some Tunisian crochet (but not commit to a whole lot of it) you could choose to do one or two Tunisian panels and complete the rest with regular crochet.

Altair is a 56 page full colour document featuring instructions, charts, links to video tutorials and photos to guide you through the process of making your top. There is also a link to a bare bones/ printer friendly document.
