The sweater is knit top down. First you’ll knit the neck band and upper chest with raglan increases before casting on stitches for the sleeves. The rainbow is knit flat in garter stitch over the bust before the shoulder construction and then the back of the body and sleeves flat in garter stitch. A gusset is knit under the sleeves and the sleeves joined together using a Kitchener stitch. Afterwards you pick up stitches under the arm before continuing the rest of the body in the round.
