Liz Abinante’s Saroyan shawl is beautiful, but the leaf edging motif was a little too flat for my taste. I played around with the motif and, 15 leaves later, ended up with the edging charted below.

This alternative leaf edging will “ruffle” quite a bit, so keep that in mind when planning your piece.
