Alternating Lace Hat #705
This is such a lovely lace pattern, and very easy to work. The eyelets open up nicely when you’re wearing the hat – it stretches just the right amount to showcase the pattern.
The stitch patterns are presented in written format only.
Skill Level: Easy
Skills Used: Lace knitting, decreasing, knitting in the round
Finished Measurements: 19.25” (49 cm) brim circumference; 8.25” (21.5 cm) height
NOTE: To fit average adult; brim will easily stretch to approximately 22” (56 cm).
Materials: 85 yards (77.5 meters) super bulky yarn
Needles and Notions: One set of five double-pointed needles, size US 11 (8 mm), OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE; stitch markers
Gauge: In Alternating Lace Rib, 13 sts and 16 rnds = 4” (10 cm), unstretched
