Alton Cowl
If you are a beginner knitter or you just want something easy to knit up so quickly, the Alton Cowl is your answer! An easy pattern that is in honor of my grandmother who was often knitting and had some beautiful flowers. It looks complicated but yet it really isn’t.
You will need to know how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off and learn a new stitch (instructions provided). Its knit in the round and only requires one ball of Aran-weight yarn so it is budget friendly. A quick knit as the pattern repeats are easy to learn.
This cowl in a great spring accessory!
Needles: 5.0mm (US 8) 16” circulars or size needed to meet gauge for your yarn (or optimal drape).
Notions: Stitch marker, row counter, tape measure, tapestry needle, scissors and (optional) blocking tools.
Sample Knit: One skein of Garnstudio Drops Air Aran-weight Yarn (65% Alpaca, 28% Polymide, 7% Wool) in colorway Beige (#26).
