This cardigan was designed as a tribute to my Grandma Joy, the first person to introduce me to the
wonderful world of yarn crafts and the maker and wearer of many beautiful cardigans.

This cardigan is designed to have a classic cropped fit with ¾ length sleeves. The long cuffs can be
turned up if you prefer a shorter sleeve, an option to edge the armholes to wear it as a vest are
included also.
This cardigan is intended to be worn with -1 to 1 inches of ease across the bust and has been graded in 9 sizes using the Craft Yarn Councils sizing standards.

This garment is constructed in a unique manner, starting with shoulder panels. The front and back
are worked from these panels and joined at the underarm. Under the bust, a ribbed section is
added, giving the impression of a form-fitting waist band. A neckline trim is added from here along
with fastenings of your choice. Finally the sleeves are added to the armholes, meaning there is little
need for seaming throughout.

This pattern has been written using US crochet terminology and imperial measurements.

Materials needed for this pattern are, fingering weight yarn, 1 15mm button or alternative fastening of your choice, stitch markers, 3.5mm hook (or whichever hook size you require to obtain gauge, tape measure, yarn needle and scissors.

This pattern is suitable for intermediate level, or above, crocheters
