A frilly circle vest or bolero. I made the original vest for myself and I always get compliments when I wear it!

Materials: Dk weight yarn and Size H hook (5.00mm) Or for size large vest use a size I (5.5mm) hook. I used two cakes of Lion Brand Mandala yarn.

Gauge: 15 dc x 7.5 rows (for size Large – 13 dc x 7 rows)

Size: The directions written make a vest in ladies size S/M (max bust about 38’’). For a ladies size Large vest, I used a size ‘I’ hook instead of the size H. (max bust about 42’’).

~ The errors in this pattern have been corrected. I had several others re-test the pattern and I also reworked it myself to be sure.

To make this vest, you should be familiar with basic crochet stitches and techniques. I have done my best to write the directions so that they are easy to read and follow. The pattern is written in standard American/U.S. terms.
