Alyssum isn’t the most flashy of the garden flowers, but it fills in the gaps between the roses, day lilies, and other showstoppers- kind of like this top!

I wanted something to wear over dresses in the fall when the Midwest is on the cusp of “sweater-weather” or in early spring when there is still a chill in the air. It’s meant to fill in the gaps between really cold and really hot weather.

Construction: The Alyssum Crop is worked seamlessly from the top down. It’s raglan construction is simple enough for a beginner to knit. It is meant to be worn with about 2-4” positive ease around the bust and 0-slightly negative ease at the waist. It is easily customizable and looks great with just an inch of ease at the bust or consistent ease from bust to waist. If crop tops aren’t your thing, it would be simple to just continue knitting until you are comfortable with the length. You’ll just need to buy an extra skein or two!
