Am I too much? Am I too loud, too excited, too emotional, too present, too absent, do I occupy too much space? This shawl, compared to my usual style, is “too” colorful, has “too many” different stitch patterns - working on this shawl has given me time to think about my worries and anxiety. It is not easy to always feel like you are too much, but this shawl feels like armor.

Am I too much? Suis-je trop? Trop bruyante, trop excité, trop émotive, trop présente, trop absente, est-ce que j’occupe trop de place? Ce châle, comparé à mon style habituel, est “trop” coloré, avec “trop” de points différents. Tricoter ce châle m’a permis de prendre du temps pour réfléchir sur ce qui m’inquiète et sur mon anxiété. C’est difficile de toujours se sentir “trop”, mais ce châle est comme une armure pour se protéger du monde.
