Amalfi is a seamless and reversible double cowl knit entirely in the round and inspired by the beauty of Amalfi, Italy.
Before leaving for my adventure to the Amalfi Coast I discovered Kathleen on Instagram and her beautiful yarns. While I was away I thought of how I could take her talent for colour and blend it into my designs, keeping it simple of course because that’s what a trip to Italy is all about, living in the moment.
This is a versatile accessory because it is so simple as well to change the look of the cowl by folding the cowls in half turning the reverse side out, or right side out and also simply wearing the full height of the cowl out.
By knitting with a hand dyed multi yarn you easily achieve the look and beauty of muted stripes flowing around the cowl. The yarn does the work!
You could also use two solid yarns for a real dynamic accessory as well. Endless possibilities.
