The Amarelo cardigan is designed especially for the Knit With Friends 2019 festival in Porto, Portugal, in collaboration with Ovelha Negra.

Amarelo is a light layering cardigan. Throw it on over your summer dress or favorite t-shirt when you feel the breeze. The cardigan features lace panel on the back and lace details on the sleeves. It is worked seamlessly from the top down. Sleeves are picked up and knit in the round to the cuffs. The pattern calls for fingering weight yarn and the sample is knitted with the single ply wool - Victoria by Ovelha Negra. The pattern has written and charted instructions.

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) Choose a size based upon your bust measurement + desired ease. Model is wearing size 2 and has 35”/ 89 cm bust.

Finished measurements: Bust circumference: 32.75 (36.75, 41, 44. 5, 49, 51, 54.25)”/ 82 (92, 102.5, 111, 122.5, 127.5, 136) cm. Detailed measurements on the schematic.

Materials:
• Yarn: 5 (6, 6, 6, 7, 7, 7) skeins of Victoria by Ovelha Negra 219 yards/ 1.76 ounces / 200 meters/ 50 grams; 100% single ply Portuguese wool or other fingering weight yarn that knits up to the gauge. The sample was knit using color 08.
• Needles and other notions: US 2½ (3 mm), US 4 (3.5 mm)or size to obtain gauge 40”/100 cm circular needles and preferred needles for small circumference knitting, cable needle, stitch markers, smooth waste yarn in similar weight, darning needle, 7 buttons 0.5”/1.25cm diameter.

Gauge: 22 Stitches and 34 rows = 4”/ 10 cm after blocking with US 4 (3.5 mm) needles in Stockinette Stitch.
