This free & easy beginner friendly project will get you started quickly. Simple instructions and basic stitches are required to complete this baby blanket. This has been one of my most popular blanket designs (favorited more than all the others)

Note: this is a crochet project, the knitting needle size 7mm was inserted in error.

You can adjust the foundation chain to your preferred size.

Note: Row 1 should be all DC’s across til end of row; you will have every other row entirely made up of DC’s.

Baby blanket size options depend on your preference.

Gauge is not critical for this project, but for those who have asked, it’s approx. 12 DC sts. = 4in.
