Amazon Stripe Beanie
This hat is comfortable and if you meet the gauge it should leave your head free of the “hat hair” look. The cinching and tie in the back give it a fun unique look. The pattern allows for the hat to be cinched or uncinched.
This pattern is for both regular worsted (Malabrigo Worsted) and also there is a version for hand spun yarn. Here are the supplies needed for both versions. There are pictures on my project pages for both types…ENJOY!
Version A (hand spun)
Supplies Needed:
Size 7 and Size 9 DP needles or (8inch round)
170 yards Hand Spun 100% wool (10 wpi average)
Gauge: 3.5-4 stitches per inch
Small Crochet Hook or Tapestry Needle
I bought my hand spun from SheepingBeauty on Etsy and I highly recomend her yarn if you do not spin your own. Here is the link to the yarn I used for creating this pattern it has the MOST fantastic colors in it.
Version B
Supplies Needed:
Size 9 and Size 10.5 DP needles or (8inch round)
aprox 170 yards Worsted Weight 100% wool yarn (I used Malabrigo Worsted) 4-4.5 stitches per inch
Small Crochet Hook or Tapestry Needle
