Ambedo Shawl
My Ambedo Shawl is an asymmetrical triangle shawl design (using simple intarsia colorwork) inspired by golden sun beams, spiced simmer pots, heart-filling stitch nights with friends, warm drinks, and the quintessential color shift of autumn foliage. Ambedo - n. A kind of melancholic trance in which you become completely absorbed in vivid sensory details. As we begin to crave the crisp fall weather, I aimed to infuse all of the sensory inspiration that surrounds us into this design in tandem with the sultry color riot that Nicole of Hue Loco cooked up. I envision this shawl being worn either front and center in a bandanna style or wrapped around your shoulders in the cooler evenings. With relaxing crochet textures, and so many colors to look forward to, this makes for the perfect advent, mini skein stash, and storytelling shawl! I can only imagine how cool a full sized gradient yarn would look as the larger main color wedge.
