This hat/cowl combo make’s a wonderful gift and of course also something great for you or your little one to wrap up in too.
An I-cord woven through the top helps it transform from a hat into a cowl.
With the drawstring tied, it’s a little hat.
With the drawstring loose, its a neck warmer!
Skills required: Chain, Slip stitch, Half double crochet, Single crochet, Double crochet, Front post half double crochet, Back post half double crochet, Font post double crochet, Back post double crochet, Front Post treble crochet, Work in rounds, Crochet or knitting an i-cord.
Materials needed:
• Yarn - NAKO Nakolen (49% wool, 51% acrylic) 100g/229 yards (210 m) per skein approx. (80 g/184 yards, 100 g/229 yards, 120 g/275 yards) - (1, 1, 2 skein) - main color (beige pictured)
or Any Medium weight yarn size 4
• Yarn - NAKO Nakolen approx. 50 g/115 yards - contrast color (pink pictured) or Any Medium weight yarn size 4
• U.S. 7 (4,5 mm) crochet hook.
• U.S. 4 (3,5 mm) double pointed needles or U.S. E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook (for I-cord)
• tapestry needle
Gauge: 14 hdc x 10 rows = 4” x 4”
