Amber Waves is a shallow crescent shaped shawl featuring a wheat lace motif and a stockinette short row body. The original design and color choice was meant to evoke a Kansas wheat field as the sky is deepening from day to evening, though it would look just as lovely in other colors or a single color.

The two color version uses 260 yards of the main color (yellow) and 200 yards of the contrast color (blue) worsted weight yarn.

The one color version requires approximately 460 yards of worsted weight yarn.
