Ambi Crochet Blanket
This pattern is for those who want to learn and practice using their non-dominant hand to crochet as this pattern specifically uses both hands to crochet instead of turning the fabric over to continue onto the next row. By switching hands (instead of turning the fabric over), it creates a very pretty and smooth back/wrong side that is pretty enough to be reversible.
This pattern can be made in any size and with any yarn weight as long as you chain in multiples of 15 + 1 sts. You can make this blanket in as many color combinations as you want, just make sure you plan your color changes accordingly. The ch 2 turning chains also count as a US dc/UK tr and the ch 3 turning chains also count as a US dc/UK tr + ch 1.
When using different colored yarns, I highly suggest to change colors on row 5 repeats so you can immediately secure yarn ends as you work the sc stitches. When switching hands from right to left, move hook in a clockwise direction and when switching hands from left to right, move hook in a counter clockwise direction so that the chain stitches are facing towards you to make it easier to insert your hook later on.
