Amelia - is an asymmetric triangular shawl knitted from side to side.
The whole shawl is knitted in short rows. It is made in lace pattern mixed with garter stitch. It could be made as a summer shawl in solid or variegated colors to the taste of the knitter. The rotation of the black and white colors gives to the shawl more classic look.
The gauge is not crucial and easily could be adapted to alternate weight yarns. The shawl could be smaller or larger to suit the individual knitter. The stripes could be optional too.
Good project for beginners, good idea for experienced knitters, who can adapt it for their own ideas.
