Notes: Amelia, the Animal Fairy, is written in US Crochet Terms. It is worked by crocheting the legs separately, then joining to create the rest of the body and head. The shorts and top are crocheted directly on the body. Hair, ears, arms, and wings are crocheted separately, then attached to the body by sewing. The bow is crocheted separately and secured by knotting. It is not required to use the indicated yarn. Using a different size yarn with a suitable hook will preserve the proportions while making your amigurumi larger or smaller.
This pattern is worked in the amigurumi method, a continuous spiral. No slip stitches or chains are needed between rounds. It is helpful to use a stitch marker to mark where you start/end your round.
