The Amelie vest is a top-down knitting vest that starts with shaping the back using the German short row technique to form the shoulder. The left and right shoulders are then worked separately using the same technique, while also shaping the v-neck and armhole. The front and back are joined and worked back and forth. Additional stitches are added to the sides of the body, which will be used for seaming. The button and sleeve bands are worked in stockinette stitch and finished with an i-cord bind off.
