Amenbo is a Japanese word meaning a water strider. Doesn’t the pattern look like Amenbo skating on top of the water? I now think Amenbo is kind of a scary bug that I enjoyed looking at when I was a kid. I thought Amenbo was very cute! Maybe I was a strange kid lol

Gauge
12 sts = 4”, 16 rounds = 4”
Finished Measurement
Neck: 23” circumference
Bottom: 100” circumference
Quadrilateral Length: 27”
Pentagon Length: 33”
Tips
Wrap the last 3 sts twice:
- Bring the yarn in front
- Slip the last 3 sts you just knit from the right needle to the left needle
- bring the yarn to the back
- slip the 3 sts you just slipped from the left needle to the right needle
- repeat 1-4
