For the Sailor Hat.
The gauge for the stockinet cap of the sailor hat is 5 spi. The brim on mine measures barely 1 1/2” deep and 6 1/2” wide, laid flat.
I think I may have knitted it tighter than most. The dolls heads seem to run 12”-12 1/2” depending on the amount of hair so the hat should not measure more than that to fit well.
If necessary, you might want to reduce needle size in order to keep your hat within that size range.
