Both knitted and sewn shoes and boots for American Girl dolls. Use with or without craft foam soles sold in my etsy store.

I had to try one with the sock yarn. I used some grey Wildfoote for the sole and one one of those patterned sock yarns for the top. it’s just a few rows so the patterns don’t show well and I’ll have to work to get the second one to match. I think I’ll cut the sole down to two straight knit rows next time as I think it runs a bit too high up the sides in this two color version.

I’ve knitted the flats again with sock yarn, using a dark grey Wildfoote for the sole and Deborah Norville (I think this was from Little Needles… I am using it Donna!) patterned sock yarn for the uppers. The first one (with the grey top edge) was knit with the first three knit rows after the last increase in the grey before changing to the sock yarn. I think the sole on it comes up a bit too far in this two color version so the second one (all turquoise) I only knit one row of the three in the grey and then changed to color and started the sockentte rows there. The rest is the same with a tight bind off. I didn’t try to match the colors, wither as they aren’t going to be a pair no matter what, but I do think I like the second version better in two colors.
