Our girls are ready to go to the hop and have fun!

Reminiscent of the circular poodle skirts so popular in the fifties this is easy to make. It is started from the waistband knitted flat and then joined to knit in the round making it completely seamless. Just two yarn ends to finish off! It can be made longer or shorter by simply doing more or fewer rows. A pretty bought lace trim sewn to the hem gives even more appeal. Sew a lacy flower or butterfly for decoration, or embroider a design.

You will need light sport or fingering weight yarn. I used a 50 gr ball of yarn.
3mm circular needle or DPS ( or whatever size you need to obtain gauge.)
Optional 10 stitch markers. 1 needs to be a different colour to show the start of the round. ( Loops of yarn can also be used to substitute) It makes it easier to see where increases go and saves counting stitches!

A garter stitch scarf completes the look.

Remember to check gauge to get a good fit!

ETA: I was asked if you need to increase at the round change. Yes. There are 10 increases every round. Last increase is just before the round changes. Just to make it clearer. There are stitch counts given.
